Kia ora,
My name is Nikki and I am a therapy social worker with over 10 years of experience practicing in Aotearoa/New Zealand and Australia with both tamariki, rangatahi, adults and family work, specializing in Rangatahi over the past 8 years. I am of Nga Puhi descent and whakapapa to the King Country. I have recently moved to the sunny Bay of Plenty and love living close to the moana and ngahere.
I have a background in community youth mental health services and family work, particularly in working with young people and families that are effected by psychotic illness's. I have also worked in Kaupapa Māori services. I am passionate about our young people and how we can create change in Aotearoa for our future generations. I have hope and belief in the future of our Rangatahi.

I use a range of contemporary evidence-based treatments including; strengths based model of care, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative therapy, Interactive Drawing Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) with a bi-cultural practice lens. I work from a holistic, trauma informed and strengths perspective to create a safe environment, and genuine relationships with people in order to promote healing and recovery.
