-
our Focus is a therapy led New Zealand owned business. Ms Sam Mitchell, the director, is herself an experienced registered integrative psychotherapist, specializing in EMDR, and who has contracted to ACC for over 26 years.
Sam maintains a small private practice, alongside running the business, in order to keep her skills up (and she enjoys this). Sam has a lot of understanding of the ACC process from a provider point of view, and this makes her the supplier that she is.
When Sam first became ACC approved, she received minimal support with the application, and no support with writing reports or understanding the complexities of delivering the contract. This made the work more stressful than it needed to be. Sam is committed to her providers having a different experience than this.
Becoming a contractor for ACC, or any other contracts that we have, can be daunting in the beginning, but we have many processes, resources and support in place to make it as easy as possible.
We give you hands-on help to become approved for any of the contracts that we service and to deliver the contract.
We have a personal connection with all of our providers, and we have outstanding support like no other supplier in Aotearoa, which is why our business has grown, largely by word of mouth, as rapidly as it has. Regardless of how many providers we have, we continue to build personal relationships with all providers right from the beginning of our working relationship.
You know that when you work for us you will always be supported in the work that you do as we understand, respect, and honour the complexities of working with trauma, and being a therapist, and running a private practice That’s because we have done, and still do, all those things too. We are grateful to have you working on our team.
We provide practical tips for running a private practice.
We support you to build a sustainable practice by providing a range of referral opportunities.
We provide practical tips for self-care.
We produce a regular newsletter that covers many topics for professional consideration, highlights our providers and their services, tips on ACC including updates, resources and links of interest and more. These are all available on the website.
We have a low administrative fee, and we have the most user-friendly CMS invoicing system in the country. Payments are made weekly.
We are continually adding new opportunities for different avenues of referral for you.
We have a provider log in page that has an abundance of information, resources and more.
We have training videos available on how to write reports and assist you with reports until you get used to them.
We have invested in a database that holds all your information that we can search easily to make referrals. We also have an availability form that synchs with this database, so we are aware of your availability at all times, and this lessens emails. This database and availability form will dovetail perfectly with the upcoming requirements for suppliers with the new contract that will be launched in December 2024.
We keep you up to date with professional development and trauma training.
We advocate on your behalf with ACC.
