Jacqui Gregory | Clinical Psychologist
Being a psychologist is awesome! I love blending trauma-informed, compassionate care, evidence-based practice, and people’s own expertise of themselves and their world to help clients overcome challenges (past and present). For me, the joy of my job is listening to people’s stories about their lives, identifying together which bits they need to work on, and then helping them create vibrantly positive stories for their future.
I’ve worked in all kinds of amazing services over the last twenty-plus years, including ACC mental injury assessment and treatment contract work, primary and secondary mental health services, addiction and forensic services, emergency services contract work, private practice, and I provide supervision to a wide range of professional people.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends; reading, travelling, eating yummy food, walking and swimming; and I’m working on my first novel.

Counselling / Therapy Approach We get to learn amazingly useful things when we train as psychologists, and then we just keep on learning new things as we go. I’m trained in and like using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and I also use positive psychology strategies. I am also currently training in EMDR and Internal Family Systems.
