Work and Income Funding

Information and resources to apply for WINZ funding to attend the Group.

Here you will find the information you need to apply for funding through WINZ (Work and Income).

If you are on a benefit or a low income, you may be eligible to apply for the Disability Allowance for Counselling, which will cover the costs of attending our groups.

Attached are three documents to help you apply for funding - once you have booked into our course, you can contact us and we will send you the counsellor information section of each form to submit with your application to WINZ:

  1. Disability Certificate for Counselling: Once you have booked onto the group, contact us and we will send you the pre-filled form to take into your GP with you. There is no reason the GP should refuse if you have anxiety issues. You do not need a formal diagnosis or to be on medication to qualify for the group or the funding.

  2. Disability Allowance Application: If you do not already receive any funding under the disability allowance, you need to complete this form. Please let us know if you need support filling out these forms. They can seem overwhelming, but once completed, you will be eligible for services such as ours, individual counselling, and other treatments.

  3. Redirection of Benefit Payment Form: After your disability allowance funding is approved, use this form to request that a portion of your benefit be redirected directly to us to cover the group cost.

To complete the process:

  1. Download and print the forms.

  2. Fill them out and take them to your GP.

  3. Have your GP complete their sections.

  4. Submit the completed forms to your WINZ case manager, including the redirection form.

  5. Attached is also a flyer for you to give to show your GP and / or WINZ for information on the group.

Once everything is verified, please use the link provided to book onto the group.
