Assisting clients to explore practical and pragmatic options to improve their well-being and safety is a passion of mine and I feel honoured to be a tiny part of someone’s journey. I am motivated by a genuine interest in people and I listen without any judgement. If you feel overwhelmed by your personal situation, I will be able to collate a plan of action with you.

To support your recovery and rehabilitation within ISSC treatment, I may be able to assist with the following:

  • When clients are being released from prison and need to connect with their community or adhere to court orders

  • Support accessing health services, mental health services, Green prescriptions for exercise

  • Support the client’s support network or carers

  • Consult with clients, their supports and other professionals re legal supports to client (Enduring Power of Attorney, Family Court mediation etc.)

  • Support around experience of Family Violence

  • Support re dependent children and their needs

Social Work Approach

My approach is centred on you and your needs as the client and I will be guided by your situation and your willingness for input. Together we can explore the support you need, seek as much information as is possible, so you can make informed decisions that suit you best, and set priorities to work on. This is called a task-centred or solution-focused approach and may also include risk assessments and safety planning. This may include referrals to community services or other organisations.
